Welcome to Our Grand Voyages Blog, where we’re documenting our 61-night Asian adventure in 2028 aboard Regent Seven Seas Splendor. Sailing from Tokyo to Hong Kong, the Grand Silk Seas Passage takes us through some of Asia’s most fascinating destinations, combining vibrant cities, historic ports, beautiful islands and unforgettable experiences along the way.

We’re Lorna and Steve, originally from the UK and now living in the Algarve, Portugal, for the past 24 years. Travel has always been a big part of our lives, and this voyage is another exciting chapter in our adventures. Through our daily cruise blog, we’ll share our experiences from each port of call, photographs, discoveries, life on board and honest impressions of the places we visit — bringing you along for the journey from Tokyo to Hong Kong.

Daily Cruise Blog

Our route begins in Tokyo and takes us through Japan and South Korea before continuing to China, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. From the temples and traditions of Japan to the energy of Asian cities, tropical islands and the cultural treasures of Southeast Asia, every stop offers something new to discover. With the festive season along the way and our voyage finishing in Hong Kong, there should be plenty of memorable moments to share.

We’ll be updating the blog with daily entries, photographs and stories from our travels, including the highlights, unexpected discoveries and everyday experiences of cruising aboard Seven Seas Splendor. Whether you’re planning a similar voyage or simply enjoy following our travels, we hope you’ll join us.
